MNet to Host 1st Annual Pre-Grammy Party
Your favorite Kpop artist will be partying it up to celebrate Kpop’s breakthrough in 2012, with MNet as they host their first annual Pre-Grammy Party on February 7th!
MNet, CAPE and 3AF to Present, will be presenting stars with awards including the MNet America Rising Star Award, the Mnet America Digital Trend Setter Award, and the Asian Pop Brand of the Year Award.
- Mnet America Rising Star Award – Debuting this year the highly lauded rookie, Ailee, is an obvious choice to receive the Mnet America Rising Star Award. Born in Denver, Ailee is a Korean American who is has broken into the K-Pop music scene in a big way.
- Mnet America Digital Trend Setter Award (presented with C.A.P.E.)– With almost one million subscribers on YouTube, musician David Choi has achieved great success on and offline over the past year. C.A.P.E is proud to present this award to David as he embodies its definition – an Asian American who has utilized the digital world to become a trendsetter and elevate Asian American influence in entertainment.
- Asian Pop Brand of the Year Award (presented with the Asian American Advertising Federation (3AF) – The 3AF (www.3af.org) and Mnet America will recognize Toyota (www.toyota.com) as the brand that has most creatively incorporated Asian pop culture in their marketing or advertising campaign this past year.
Venue: Legendary East West Studios
Ailee, and Connie Lim and Sonia Rao of “The Voice” have been confirmed to perform, and presenters will include Carrie Ann Inaba of “Dancing With The Stars,” and Suzanne Whang of “Las Vegas,” and “House Hunters.”
