GD, Taeyang, and Daesung on “GD Friends Live Worldwide”

On GD Friends Live Worldwide aired online on September 25 through Naver, G-Dragon answered questions posted by fans. He was joined by Taeyang, Daesung and Lydia Paek.

Among the many questions, the boys addressed TO.P‘s accident and hand surgery. G-Dragon mentioned visiting T.O.P at the hospital. They also touched on Seungri’s current problems.

GD said, “Seungri’s doing well. He’s currently in Japan right now.” There were awkward moments of silence. It appeared they didn’t know what to say next. So Taeyang suggested for them to be honest and stated, “We scolded him a lot. He’s currently self-reflecting. It’s OK to make mistakes. As brothers, we’ve forgiven him. It’s a problem we have to carry together.” Adding, “We’ve scolded him and we’ll make sure he never does it again.”

Daesung, ever the diplomat, suggested they all say they love Seungri, but Taeyang rejected that idea by saying, “I’m not ready to say ‘I love you’ to Seungri. He needs to be in a longer time of self-reflecion.”

Leader GD stated, “No one’s really in the position to scold him, but if possible, we’ll try harder to show a better image to everyone.” He added that the self=reflection won’t be wasted time and will eventually become a good experience for them. He also said, “Seungri, I don’t love you just yet, but I will love you and I miss you. Fighting!”

Taeyang revealed that he and Daesung moved into a new apartment with Seungri. He said that his and Daesung’s roles as Seungri’s new roommates will be to watch him and guide him back to the right path.

G-Dragon performed Missing You with Lydia Paek and Today after that talk time.

Milagros opines: I told myself that I wasn’t going to say anything about this whole issue, but judging from the fact that YG never really addressed scandal #1 and from the boy’s comments yesterday, perhaps the tabloid story does have some truth to it. I think by the “love” they really mean “forgive” and the “self-reflection” is comparable to a child’s timeout at the corner when they’ve behaved badly. I’m convinced that behind the scenes they’ve all laid it on him and probably not in a nice way. I’m pretty sure they’re all pissed and rightly so. This new apartment thing, while it might have been planned way before the scandals, the timing makes you go …hmm. Now, Seungri has some sunbae guard dogs to keep his nose clean. I wonder whose idea it was? The boys’ or YG’s? That’s something we might never know.
