Debut MV from K-Pop Star’s Baek Ah Yeon

 

K-Pop Star contestant Baek Ah Yeon is the first of the finalists to release her solo album and the lead single is “Sad Song.”

And it’s a pretty sad song. She sings it beautifully, though I somehow feel she lacks a bit of the maturity required to deliver a song that’s so emotionally charged. The melody is relatively simple, which leaves the majority of it’s success to strength in delivery.

Ah Yeon’s voice is gorgeous but I’m not buying her emotions so much. *shrug* It’s still a great song and really pleasing to my ear drums.
