Be still my fangirl heart. My favorite maknae is making it huge in Japan. First getting all sorts of Japanese radio and TV gigs. Now, he’s making the jump from MC-ing to dramaland. Big Bang’s Seungri has been cast in the upcoming Japanese special drama: The Files of Young Kindaichi: Hong Kong Kowloon Treasure Murder Case. Set to air this winter on NTV Japan.
Seungri’s role will be that of a Korean international student working at a hotel in Hong Kong. When a crime occurs, he becomes a suspect but he eventually is cleared with the help of Kindaichi.
Seungri commented that:
“This is my first appearance in a Japanese drama! I’m very honored and pleased about it. ‘Kindaichi Case Files’ is a very famous as a manga and drama series, and I’m nervous to be working together with international super stars. I’ll do my best and I hope the filming will be fun. Please give me a lot of support.”
It’s been a long time since a Japanese drama has appeared on my radar. This one, I’m going to watch. Murder mystery + Seungri is a win for me.
