G-Dragon’s New Album Release Date + Other News

Rumors are flying about G-Dragon‘s album release date.  According to Star News, multiple music industry sources close to G-Dragon have said that his new mini-album, entitled “One of a Kind” will be released on September 15.  The album is also supposed to include 5 brand new tracks, besides the already released “One of a Kind” and “That XX (or That Bastard)”.

We shall see, won’t we?

In other news, “That XX” achieved an all-kill on all top Korean music charts right after it was released, even though it was issued an R rating.  A YG Entertainment rep had this to say:

“G-Dragon is the first singer to have a song that willingly got an R rating top the charts in an all-kill. Though this phenomenon we can see that, contrary to beliefs that G-Dragon or Big Bang’s fans will mostly be in their teens, there are actually a great number of fans in their 20s and 30s.”

The funny thing is, the song was willingly given an R rating before it was put up for evaluation.  This turned out to be a smart move, since it got everyone wondering about what the “XX” could possibly mean.
