[Music Review] 4Minute Release Flawless Song – Oricon Clock Dem Teas

4Minute are one of those bands who, on a quarterly basic, spew out a new single which flaunts a hardline dosage of trashy electro club beats over thin voices, well at least according to me (me being the best thing since SM let SNSD go to Japan). So, despite the fact that I loathe most of their releases, I decided to listen to “Love Tension“ and gurlz, this moistened my pussycat like nobody’s business.

I am a wet cat.

So while we all know that the laws of gravity and the Oricon chart are pressed over 4Minute’s Japanese releases, Love Tension deserves to be high up there. Despite a hefty serving of generic beats, this song’s fresh arrangement and vocals help Love Tension to catapult itself to the top of 4Minute’s discography, serving the Friday night in da club teas. A special mention is required for both the pre-chorus and the chorus itself which has caused involuntary thrusting on countless occasions.

As for the video, the lovely ladies have ditched their typical concept of rubbing against each other despite a lack of clothing for a more sophisticated approach, doubled with a helping of androgynous looks. While most of 4Minute’s videos attempt, and fail, to force sensuality down your throat, this video actually succeeds, displaying their beauty which is usually lost in translation. The choreography also enhances the video, edged on by black magic (or CGI, you decide).

All in all, flawless.
