During a recent interview in Singapore, Nelly Furtado brought up not only K-pop, but PSY and T.O.P.!
Nelly Furtado was being interviewed about her new CD, The Spirit Indestructible, when she mentioned that something was “in the works” concerning collaborating with K-pop or J-pop artists.
“I definitely do love what they’re doing,” she commented. She also said that the artist she wants to collaborate with the most is T.O.P. from BIG BANG. Whether this was simply because she was in Singapore and she wanted to drum up some Asian interest or because she actually does want to incorporate K-pop and/or J-pop into her work, we shall have to wait and see.
Personally, I think it would be interesting to see what she has in mind, especially since she is the lady who oh so eloquently described Psy’s dance moves from Oppa Gangnam Style as “a guy doing the horse move”. Love the terminology, Nelly!
