EvoL Releases Their New MV for “We Are A Bit Different”

Brand New Stardom released EvoL’s mv for “We Are A Bit Different” today and I’m thinking they’re not all THAT different.  Cue comparisons to 2NE1 now.

Check out the young ladies of EvoL, bumping and grinding away on what looks like the nighttime set of Rain’s “I’m Coming” (or 2NE1′s “Ugly”) mv now.

I’m not comparing them to 2NE1, as I’m sure netizens have been doing all day.   The only similarities I see between them and 2NE1 right now  is that they’re a girl group with some swag and they’ve released a dance song.  It would be more apropos to compare this song to a few Rihanna songs from the not so distant past.  ”We Are A Bit Different” is definitely another song I could see doing well on the U.S. charts.

So far I really like their voices, and this song, but I’m sure I’m not the only one that was unenthused by their unexceptional dancing and lackluster choreography.

Leave us some comments to let us know what you think of EvoL and their new mv.

yea, don’t see the point of superficial comparisons when it’s so obvious most kpop groups share similar fashion, hairstyles and sets. I don’t mind not-so-rigorous dancing or less-than-stellar mv production value; not many companies have that much money to throw around anw, and I would prefer that they spend more on producing the songs than on frills. As long as the mv is nice to watch, and brings across the message well, it’s good enough for me (like cpop mvs or indie band mvs). The other songs on the mini are really good too btw, esp ’12345′, ‘magnet’ and ‘i’m sorry’

The song is really solid with great vocals and production. It definitely sounds close to what Rihanna would release and not 2NE1. It’s a straight up dance song that would fit in seamlessly at clubs. As for the MV, it might have been a little off with the song. A club setting would have been a better fit. I’m glad though that it’s the song that’s solid and the MV and dancing that were a little less stellar and not the other way around. So many other idol groups get away with crap songs by having over-the-top MVs. The rest of the songs on the mini-album are just as good or even better than the title song. It’s very impressive for a rookie girl group to have such a great mini packed with wonderful tracks. My personal favorite is 12345! ^^

Their songs on their debut mini album are OK. I’m not sure I’m sold on them yet though. To be honest, I was hoping they were going to come out with a MV for “Magnet” and some cooler choreography. But it didn’t turn out that way so I’m a little disappointed…but also amused that we all just got trolled. XP
