JYJ Files Suit Against a Media Outlet For Defamation of Character

On August 1 JYJ filed suit against what is referred to as “D” media outlet, aka Dispatch, for 100 million won (about $88,300 USD) in combined damages. This cicil suit is about the release, in March of this year, of audio tapes that were alleged to be of JYJ assaulting and swearing at their sasaeng fans.

A member of JYJ’s legal representation said:

“The outlet released illegally recorded voice files under real names without checking if the claims were true or not. It is a clear libel and an invasion of their privacy.

JYJ cancelled their initially filed libel suit to file this civil claim. You can read more about this lawsuit here to refresh your memory on the JYJ issue.

You know what JYJ? Just STFU! What pimp slaps his bitches, gets caught, and then pretends it never happened?! And it’s a media/press outlet. How can you sue them if they actually have evidence to prove your negative actions? Jaejoong clearly says he beated the sasaeng fan(s) in the audio file and that video of Yoochun did look awfully suspicious (but wasn’t sure if the fan hit him first and he reacted back/self-defense). But now they’re basically admitting that they DID hit fans because now they’re suing Dispatch for invasion of privacy AKA because they got caught. e__e So yeah, right now, JYJ look really guilty. I like their songs but them hitting fans is not cool.

The situation all this started from is very sad. I don’t support how JYJ acted but I do think the tapes are telling (and I for one am glad they are out there). This saesang bullshit is creating a very uncomfortable world for these stars, and I think we need to be aware of what’s really happening behind the scenes.
