2PM’s Nichkhun Tweets a Heartfelt Apology

Nichkhun recently tweeted what seems like a very sincere apology for his recent DUI and accident, which has sparked much controversy.

I would like to write this letter of apology for such an irresponsible act. To the injured person, his family, the people of Korea, my fans, JYPE family and staffs, 2PM members, and all the people this situation has affected. I have betrayed the ones who have given me their love and support, the love and support I don’t deserve with such behavior. I feel the need to take some time off to re-think about my action and myself, to make myself a better person and never again repeat the same mistake. I am truly ashamed that I have disappointed so many, and I am deeply sorry.

This tweet comes after the official apology from JYP Entertainment that was released earlier this week.

I get that Nichkhun deserves all that’s coming to him, and that he should pay for his mistake. I just can’t help but feel bad for the guy, as he’s the last person I would have expected to see embroiled in any controversy.

I think he should at least be punished fairly. I don’t hate him but he should be treated like everyone else and not because he’s in 2PM. Did anybody see the video of what happened? They said it was just a tiny accident but after watching I was in shock.

Eh! It’s nice he apologized because seriously how many idols does one know that actually apologized for the dumb ish they do. Though, I can’t help but feel irritated knowing that this case (like many others) won’t be handled fairly. He’s an idol so of course he’s going to get special treatment. >_>
