YG Entertainment releases video of “Future 2NE1″

Today, YG Entertainment released a video of a group of young female trainees, ages 12-13, they have dubbed “Future 2NE1″. Now don’t panic Blackjacks! I don’t think the name means that these girls will be replacing 2NE1, just that they happen to be a hip-hop group of 4 girls, just like 2NE1.

The video shows the 4 girls, who I will refer to as 4G (4 girls) from now on, dancing remarkably well, though perhaps a little too, well, risque for girls so young? There is the mini-Bom, the tall girl with white shorts, mini-Dara, the one with the weird but cool looking black pants, mini-CL, the one with the colored hair, and mini-Minzy, with short jean shorts. No, these aren’t the names they were given and they may not even make sense to you, but it will help me differentiate them. They all look really good, though mini-Bom seems to be the most nervous. After the dancing, we actually get to see mini-CL sing. In my opinion, she sounds pretty good for a 12 year old. I’ve heard others who have sounded better, but not many. She seems to really be having fun while singing and enjoys it, which is a huge plus. I can’t wait to see how these girls are doing in 2 or 3 years once they have finished training!

Honestly when I first saw the title I did get a bit thrown off with the whole future 2ne1 but overall these girls seem to have potential and wondering how much progress they will have in 4year hmm… also just curious to why YG went and brought out this video now and what happened to the new group of girls that were meant to debut in september?? Kpop industries and their marketing ways I still do not comprehend jajaja

lol @ the mini names …. Mini-Dara is a fierce dancer!! They’re all so cute too! I love YG …. but I am also confused because I thought they were debuting 2 girl groups this year (including SuPearls) so where are the teasers for them?!?!?!

they were really pretty good. but i really , really, really agree that the dance was a more than a little too risque for their age.

Yeah…. I think this video should have been titled “The Future of YG” instead of the “Future 2NE1,” but whatever, ultimately it’s not that big of a deal. That choreo, however, is wildly inappropriate.

I agree the dance is a little inappropriate for their age, but they are training to be idols, and once they debut in four years they’ll be 16-17 and that’s the way they’ll be expected to dance (even though that is still kind of young). But they didn’t have to have them dance that way in a YouTube video…
